Plus the configuration files on their own, for existing installations. each comes as .zip (Windows) and .tar.gz (Linux / macOS)- Downloads — OpenSim 0.9.3.1, set up for Neverworld and ready to go. Choose this one if you’re not sure.

Getting your region running
This is just a quick overview — you don’t need to be a computer expert. The real step-by-step instructions come in the guide inside the package, and the Neverworld admins are happy to help you through it. (These steps are for once your region’s application has been approved.)
What you’ll need
- A computer you can leave switched on to run your region.
- An internet connection that can be reached from outside — the guide shows you how to set this up, and the admins can help if you get stuck.
- On a home internet connection, a free dynamic DNS name (such as No-IP or DuckDNS), and use that name on your application. Home addresses change from time to time, and a name keeps your region connected when yours does.
That’s really it: the software itself comes in the package you download.
The basic steps
- Download the package from one of the two links above and unzip it. Not sure which one? Choose the full package — it’s everything ready to go.
- Set your region’s details. The first time you start it, the simulator asks you a few simple questions — your region’s name, and a couple of values the admins give you. Just answer them; you don’t need to edit anything by hand. When it asks for your region’s external host name, enter your public address or the hostname from your application — not the number it suggests. If anything’s unclear, the admins will help you fill it in.
- Start it up once your approval email has arrived, by running the start file in the package — and your region appears on Neverworld.
Keeping your approval
Your approval lasts as long as your region is in use. A server that hasn’t been online for 60 days is taken off the list, so if you come back after a long break, just ask the admins and they’ll switch you back on.
Bringing a region from another grid?
You can move your builds and your belongings across — but do it while your old grid is still running, or they can arrive empty. The guide explains exactly how, step by step, and the admins can walk you through it. (Moving a lot at once? A quick word to the admins first keeps it smooth.)
Before you bring an inventory archive (IAR) over, you can check it for junk at customs.gridxchange.co. It’s free, and your file never leaves your computer.
Any questions, at any step — just ask the Neverworld admins. They’re glad to help.
