Welcome to Opensim Memorial Gardens  -- a quiet place for contemplation, reflection and rememberance.

This 2x2 sim has two main areas. There is a beautiful venue on an island on the lake, and a virtual memorial park for those who have passed.

The memorial garden was built after the passing of a friend and member of the grid, Rusty Sciavo.  The sim was originally a radio station which he was working on when he passed.

Several members helped with the build, especially Pasha Theas a very well known landscape architect.     When Pasha passed away after a brief illness, the Memorial Island was created, with  a bridge over the water.   Then, a virtual memorial service was held in the venue, and many people, including her RL family, came to the event.

Opensim Memorial Gardens is open to all who have lost a virtual loved one,  there is a kit there for using to create a parcel. Join the group and you will have access to obtaining a plot for use as a memorial that includes benches, signs and a masoleum.
