Administrator Guide
For Neverworld Grid Administrators
Welcome to ORBIT
ORBIT is Neverworld Grid’s official Region Management Dashboard. As a grid administrator, ORBIT gives you the tools to monitor and manage regions across the entire grid — all from any web browser, with no technical background or server access required.
As an Administrator you have full access to all regions on the grid. You can restart any region, request OAR backups, and upload OAR files to any region — for all residents and region owners on the grid.
|
A Note About Region Owners |
|
Region owners also have access to ORBIT. They can restart their own regions, request OAR downloads of their own regions, and upload OAR files to their own regions. |
|
As an Administrator, you have the same capabilities but for ALL regions on the grid, not just your own. |
|
If a region owner contacts you about a restart or OAR issue with their region, you can assist them directly through ORBIT. |
|
What ORBIT Does NOT Give You |
|
ORBIT is a dashboard tool only. It does not provide access to the grid servers, terminals, or any backend configuration. |
|
If you encounter a technical issue that cannot be resolved through ORBIT, contact Gundahar Bravin on Discord for assistance. |
Creating Your ORBIT Account
Your ORBIT account is separate from your in-world avatar login. You will need your avatar name and your in-world grid password to complete registration.
Step-by-Step Registration
1.Open your browser and go to: panel.neverworldgrid.com
2.Click Sign In, then look for the option to register a new account.
3.Enter your Avatar First Name and Last Name exactly as they appear in-world on Neverworld Grid.
4.Enter your Grid Password — the same password you use to log in with Firestorm or your viewer.
5.Choose a Dashboard Username and Dashboard Password for ORBIT. These can be different from your grid credentials.
6.Agree to the Terms of Service and click Verify Avatar & Create Account.
7.Your account will be reviewed and approved. You will be notified when access is granted.
|
⚠ Your grid password is used only once to verify your avatar identity during registration. It is never stored by ORBIT. |
|
After Registration |
|
Once your account is approved, you will have Administrator access to all regions on the grid. |
|
Log in at panel.neverworldgrid.com using your chosen Dashboard Username and Password — not your grid credentials. |
|
If you have any trouble logging in or your account is showing as pending, contact Gundahar Bravin on Discord. |
The Regions List
The Regions page is your main operational view in ORBIT. It displays every region on Neverworld Grid with its current online status, grid coordinates, owner name, and available actions.
Navigating the Regions List
•Regions are organized alphabetically across four tabs: A-F, G-M, N-S, and T-Z.
•Use the search box to find any region instantly by name, UUID, or owner name.
•Use the Status dropdown to filter by Online, Offline, Self-Hosted, or Unknown.
•The Last Checked column shows how recently the status was verified.
•Click Refresh All Statuses at the top right to trigger an immediate check of all regions.
Region Status Indicators
|

|
● Red |
Offline |
Region is not responding. May need a restart. |
|
● Blue |
Self-Hosted |
Region runs on a resident’s own private server. No restart or OAR options available — shown for monitoring only. |
|
● Gray |
Unknown |
Status has not yet been checked or was inconclusive. |
|
About Self-Hosted Regions |
|
Some Neverworld Grid regions are hosted on residents’ own private servers. These show a blue indicator and the label Self-Hosted. |
|
Self-Hosted regions are displayed for awareness and monitoring only. Restart and OAR functions are intentionally not available for these regions. |
|
This is not a missing feature — ORBIT simply does not have access to privately hosted servers, and this is by design. |
Restarting a Region
As an Administrator you can restart any region on the grid directly from ORBIT. The restart process automatically sends countdown warnings to residents before shutting the region down, giving them time to prepare.
How to Restart a Region
8.Go to the Regions list and find the region you need to restart.
9.Click the Restart button in the Action column for that region.
10.Confirm the restart when prompted.
11.The ORBIT restart panel expands below the region row, showing you live status at every stage of the process.
The Restart Panel — Live Status Phases
Once a restart is triggered, ORBIT guides you through four phases in real time:
|
Phase 1 — Warning Residents (Amber) |
|
A real-time countdown begins from T-Minus 2:00. |
|
Residents in the region receive automatic in-world warnings at 2 minutes, 1 minute, and 30 seconds before shutdown. |
|
Each warning milestone is checked off as it is delivered. A progress bar sweeps across as the countdown runs. |
|
This phase takes approximately 2 minutes — this is intentional and expected. Please do not attempt a second restart during this time. |
|
Phase 2 — Region Offline (Red) |
|
The shutdown command is issued and the region goes offline. |
|
The panel turns red and confirms: SHUTDOWN CONFIRMED. |
|
ORBIT begins monitoring for the region to reload. This typically takes 1 to 3 minutes depending on the region’s size and content. |
|
Phase 3 — Reloading (Blue) |
|
The region process has restarted and is loading its terrain, objects, and scripts. |
|
The panel shows a live animation while ORBIT monitors the region for a response. |
|
No action is required during this phase. |
|
Phase 4 — Back Online (Green) |
|
The region is back online and accepting connections. |
|
The panel confirms a successful restart with a summary of all completed steps. |
|
The panel closes automatically after a few seconds. |
|
⚠ If the restart panel shows a SYSTEM FAILURE message, the restart could not be completed automatically. Note the error message shown and contact Gundahar Bravin on Discord for assistance. |
Total restart time: The full process from clicking Restart to the region coming back online typically takes 5 to 8 minutes. The 2-minute resident warning countdown accounts for most of this time. This is by design — residents need time to prepare before a shutdown.
OAR Downloads — Region Backups
An OAR file is a complete backup of a region — every object, texture, script, terrain setting, and piece of content it contains. As an Administrator you can request an OAR backup of any region on the grid.
How to Request an OAR Download
12.Click OAR Downloads in the top navigation bar.
13.In the Request OAR Backup section, type the region name in the search box.
14.Select the region from the dropdown list that appears.
15.Click Create OAR. ORBIT will begin preparing the backup on the server.
16.Depending on the size of the region, this may take several minutes.
17.When ready, the OAR file appears in the Available Downloads section. Click Download to save it to your computer.
OAR Download Rules & Limits
|
Expiry |
Download files are available for 24 hours. After that they are automatically deleted from the server. |
|
File Size |
No size limit — the OAR will be whatever size the region currently is. Large regions may produce very large files. |
|
After Download |
The file is deleted from the server immediately after a successful download to free up space. |
|
One at a Time |
One active download job per region at a time. |
|
Self-Hosted Regions |
OAR downloads are not available for Self-Hosted regions. |
|
⚠ OAR files can be very large — some regions exceed several gigabytes. Make sure you have sufficient free space on your computer before downloading. |
OAR Uploads — Loading Content into a Region
The OAR Uploads feature allows you to upload an OAR file from your computer and load it directly into any region on the grid. This is useful for restoring a region from a previous backup, or loading new content into a region at a region owner’s request.
How to Upload and Load an OAR
18.Click OAR Uploads in the top navigation bar.
19.Search for and select the target region from the dropdown.
20.Drag and drop your .oar file into the upload area, or click to browse and select it from your computer.
21.Check the ownership confirmation box — confirm that the content is authorized for use on Neverworld Grid.
22.Click Upload OAR. A progress bar will show the upload status in real time.
23.Once uploaded, the file appears in the Pending Uploads section below.
24.Click the Load into Region button next to your upload.
25.A confirmation dialog will appear — type the region name exactly as shown to confirm.
26.Click I Understand, Load OAR to proceed.
|
⚠ Loading an OAR will PERMANENTLY REPLACE all current content in the region — every object, texture, terrain, and script will be overwritten. This cannot be undone. Always confirm with the region owner before loading an OAR into their region. |
OAR Upload Rules & Limits
|
Maximum File Size |
10 GB per upload. |
|
File Type |
.oar files only. |
|
Expiry |
Uploaded files must be loaded into the region within 24 hours or they are automatically deleted. |
|
One at a Time |
Only one pending upload per region at a time. |
|
Rate Limit |
Administrators are exempt from rate limits. |
|
Self-Hosted Regions |
OAR uploads are not available for Self-Hosted regions. |
